Tuesday 9th June 1942

Chilly morning. Met Don at the Forum. Quite good films. Liked the new star Alan Ladd. Don caught his last bus home.

Saturday 23rd May 1942

Went to the Forum with Don saw "Good Morning Doctor". Not so bad as "Johnny Eager". Slept over at Don's place.

Thursday 16th April 1942

Don on HG duty. Stopped in all evening. Mum & Hilda went to the Forum. Dad also went on Home Guard.

Tuesday 17th February 1942

Hilda's 16th Birthday. Did not buy anything but gave her the money instead. Mum & dad took her to the Forum. Don came over in the pm.

Saturday 6th September 1941

Went to the Forum with Hilda. Saw "A Woman’s Face". Very good indeed. Don came over. We just went out for a drink.

Saturday 21st June 1941

Work as usual. Went to the Forum with mum & stopped in rest of evening.

Saturday 7th June 1941

Saw City of Conquest at the Forum. Very good. The best film I’ve seen for weeks. Stopped in during evening.

Went to the Forum with Don. Then went to Horse & Groom. Got home soon after ten. Quiet night.

Went to the Forum with Mum. Stopped in during evening.
