Tuesday 16th June 1942
Miserable morning. Don came over in the evening. We did not go out as it rained so much.
Monday 8th June 1942
Sunny but chilly. Don came over straight from work. Freddie Barnard came up. Going [illegible] Ireland. Went for a drink. Got to bed very late.

Sunday 7th June 1942
Went to Don's. Went to Walton on the Hill. Not quite so warm but still nice. Had a bit of a job to get home.

Lovely morning. Oscar not in today. Don came over. Went out for a walk. Did not stop out long. Very nice evening.
Tuesday 26th May 1942
Lovely morning now. Fred came through & asked me to go to Wembley Saturday. Expect I shall go. Stopped in all evening.
Sunday 24th May 1942
Did nothing very special as the weather is so bad. Played billiards cards & draughts then went for a drink.

Monday 18th May 1942
Wet morning. Don came over from work. Did not go out as weather was so miserable. Don left early.
Sunday 17th May 1942
Went to the Park with Hilda & Eric. Met Don over there. He'd got his bike out. Went to Mitcham in the afternoon but as it was so dull did not go out.
Tuesday 12th May 1942
Very dull morning. Not seeing Don as he is on HG. Stopped in all pm. Washed my two new frocks. Look OK at the moment.

Thursday 7th May 1942
Don met me from work & went straight on to Ida’s. Weather turned a bit dull in the evening. Don caught his late bus for the first time this week.
Tuesday 5th May 1942
Had ½ day & Don & I went to Belmont. Quite a nice day but not so hot as Sunday. Got home quite late.
Thursday 26th March 1942
Cold morning. Don came over. Not feeling so chirpy. Don went early. His uncle given blood transfusion.
Wednesday 25th March 1942
Misty morning but brightens up. Don came over. His uncle had his operation. Think he will pull through.
Friday 6th February 1942
Slippery morning. Did nothing special. Was going to Chelsea Palace, but Hilda didn't want to go at the last minute.
Thursday 5th February 1942
Another cold morning. Nothing very special happened. Don came over in the evening. Had a very jolly evening. Don left quite late.
Wednesday 4th February 1942
Cold morning. Played Table Tennis in the evening. Miss Jackson & I won our 3 doubles but only won 2 games out 6 with Mr. Linsell.
Tuesday 3rd February 1942
More snow falling. Hilda on sick leave. Went over to Don's in the evening. Quite happy over there. Don caught his late bus.
Monday 2nd February 1942
Feeling a bit tired. Not had much sleep. Went home early. Don came over early & we went to the Gaumont. Snow came down again & freezing. Very dangerous.
